Oakbrook Farm Kentucky

This workshop, held at the Oakbrook Farm Center for the Arts in the edge of Kentucky's Bluegrass region, encompasses both photography and writing. Held during the peak of striking Fall color, on Oakbrook Farm, a pioneer Thomas family holding, the workshop includes a wildlife sanctuary with hiking trails, photo blind and ponds, which attract wading birds, deer, turkey, raccoon, opossum, bobcat and other creatures of the wild kingdom.

The workshop includes "hands on" sessions supervised by bill Thomas, author of 27 works on nature and wildlife subjects. Daily treks on special assignment are conducted by Thomas, some into a nearby Amish community. About half of the sessions are photographic with the remaining portions on writing copy to compliment the photography. This is one of the most comprehensive workshops one could find anywhere.
